Lucifer

what advocate will speak for us?
take our part?/explain
deathless fears that cause
so much hurt/mainly to
self?
who’ll understand flesh’s need
to be touched/or lonely
heart’s vacuum/soul’s
craving some sort of balm?
who but another Outcast?
another spirit banished
from Home?
another isolated Exile
severed from all ties?
a lost orphan/mapless &
without compass or
guiding stars?

let me see yr
Secret Places/
the ones hidden behind
yr clothes—
Reveal yourself
unabashed unconstrained
by pernicious modesty
deadly shyness—
show me yr
Secret Places/
the ones hidden beneath
yr skin—
there is no
Rescue/we have only
one another &
it must be enough/
so let us
bleed into
one another/
Dissolve into
one another/
putting a smile
on the moon’s
dead face/
making life
a little less
terrifying……

When It All Comes Down

when it all comes down
it all comes down to this:
in the
Kingdom of the Soft Tear
the Blue notes are the heaviest—
in the Land of
the Sad Sigh
the casualties are always
too high—

Addendum:

God is an Empty room—
the Reward of the dead….
Eternal Nothing—
there are no virtues/
morals/
ethics/
Revelations
Common Good or
Epiphanies/
except
Compassion
Forgiveness &
Love—

Old Age Boo Hoos

almost 62 now-
feelings of falling panic
in stomach/
dizzy sense recalling
life history/
fell length of rabbit Hole
weightless/
sky diving panic frenzy
passes/
waits it’s turn again –
@ times feel like the
tears kept swallowed
will volcano out leaving
empty husk –
and we all leave Alone/
like waiting in line
for horrifying amusement
Ride/
you might be with
friends lovers family/
but you Ride alone
nonetheless…
isolated & private
in the moment
& it’s you just you

Monster

The boy and girl (brother and sister) lay in the bed together. The boy was 9 the girl was 8. The boy asked his sister if she loved him. She said yes. The boy asked if she would do something for him, something very important. His sister said she would. The boy explained to her that he loves her and would she pull the covers over her head like he did. That way she would be protected against any monsters in the darkened room. The boy and girl went to sleep that night with the covers pulled completely over their heads.

The Monsters got us anyway…
